OHM.

if i tag a current racetrack, it'll be with a closed way and highway=raceway

in this case, i know a rough bounding box for the location but not
a footprint. for some tracks, finding the old footprint may be pretty
hard.

i am, although another part of the research problem is uncertainty
or sometimes conflicting sources. in one case, i have a source which
is in conflict with itself and the author likely didn't even know this.

that's essentially where i am. i have two pre WWII tracks in Rensselaer
where i'm still trying to track down the footprint and i'll probably
succeed, but i won't always be able to do that, so i would like a
standard way to do a POI.
