Hello Everyone,



A huge thank you for getting HOT so very close to an adopted ‘standard’ for
how we Activate and the ‘services’ we provide to assist those in need and
fulfill the HOT mission.  Since the Activation Sprint, where the Activation
Protocol Draft began, there has very a variety of reviews happening
including at the past five Activation Working Group meetings.  A ton of
great feedback has been provided and I am confident that we should now set
a ‘final review’ period.  Tyler and I agree that he will present this to
the Board at the meeting at the end of June.  So, I suggest we consider
that the AWG meeting on 23 June will have on the agenda something like
‘decide if protocol draft is ready for Tyler to present’.

One thing I will note, is that now lots of people want to start developing
more detailed things like how to use specific tools or who exactly does
what – my opinion is that stuff like that should not go into the protocol,
but into the curriculum or elsewhere like generally on LearnOSM or the
wiki; I am now ‘opening up’ the Activation Curriculum Outline[1] and
Narrative Draft[2] for broader review; I hope that helps make it all more
understandable – but the ‘urgency’ of reviewing these is not as important.
