Walking Papers has all its HTML in template files, so there are two places where translations might need to happen. Larger blocks of single-language text are all stored in language directories like this one:
	http://github.com/migurski/paperwalking/tree/master/site/templates/es/

While smaller single-word or phrase localizations can be found in some of the general-purpose templates:

	etc.

We've used Git extensively to coordinate localizations of the site. Typically a translator would fork the code base for themselves, make all the language changes directly, and then send a pull request for me to merge their changes when they were done. In some cases translators did not ask first, they simply made the edits and notified me when they were ready.

A few of the translators did not feel comfortable with code, so we emailed chunks of text back and forth for me to paste in.

I hadn't heard of .po files before, I'll look them up to see if they would be helpful here.
