Hey all-

The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) has been working as a contractor
of the World Bank (WB) on the HaitiData.org Initiative<http://haitidata.org/>.
This initiative is about creating capabilities to foster the use, the
sharing and the processing and visualization of geodata in Haiti. It
relies on a website, www.haitidata.org (a Geonode instance) built and
launched in June 2011 to provide a tool for sharing and visualizing this
data and provide insights into natural hazard risk. One portion of the
work of HOT in this project is to upload in haitidata.org Disaster Risk
Reduction (DRR)-related data that has been produced in Haiti since the 2010
earthquake and collected through various missions of another project funded
by the WorldBank (“NatHat” project). We need help accomplishing this.
Below are the required qualifications for this work which will start in
the course of next week and go through February 2012. Note that this will
be part time job and short term. Great if anyone interested in this
project can email apply at hotosm.org and pass along a resume. 23-Dec will be
the last day to submit application.

   - A total of 2 years working experience in the fields of GIS or
   programming
   - Experience in GIS (data management, data analysis and map production)
   - Professional usage of GIS desktop applications (primarily Quantum GIS)
and web sharing platforms (GeoNode, GeoCommons)
   - Familiarity with Metadata (ISO 19115)
   - Familiarity with SLD
   - Strong writing and presentation skills (documentation)
   - Bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, ICT/software engineering related
   fields
   - Outstanding interpersonal skills, effective team member, capacity to
work under pressure and in a multi-cultural environment
   - Fluent in English, preferably fluency in French as well.
   - Attention to detail

Excellent day to all-
Nico

PS: I'll be offline until 18-Dec 2011 and will revert then.
