Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to invite experts to participate in a Technical Advisory
Mission to Vietnam scheduled to take place 25 to 30 March 2012.

The five-day-programme serves to meet all stakeholders of the Disaster
Management Centre, including government organisations, UN agencies, NGOs and
other organisations. The programme also includes a one-day National Workshop
on Space Technology and Disaster Management. The mission team will discuss
with stakeholders how to make disaster-risk reduction efforts in Vietnam
more effective.

Experts should have an organizational mandate to assist in assessing the
current use of space-based technology and information for disaster
management and emergency response in Vietnam, in identifying potential areas
where space-based technology and information could play a greater role and
in contributing to improving the access to space-based information. 

Interested experts who have a financial support from their organisation, a
relevant mandate and are involved in bilateral/multilateral activities with
Vietnam are kindly asked to contact Mr. Shirish RAVAN:
