Hi all,

Am so sorry for the late reply, have been away for the last few days..

The documentation has an open license, it's meant for anyone interested in digital mapping, the openstreetmap, open source, sharing information and knowledge as well as those interested in the mapuganda project (mapping day) run by http://www.fruitsofthought.org, and yes, the copy is available that can be modified to other languages. It's alright if we include the documentation as one of the available resources on the wiki, and my view is to gather all the available resources on the wiki, then members from different lists can be able to refer to those resources and suggest improvements or modifications to those resources, as the different changes might come-up.

Think i will be sharing this with the newly introduced list at (learnosm-coord at openstreetmap.org) where i also subscribed.

Yours Truly

Douglas,

Thanks very much for putting this together and submitting it to the list.  The training group is currently finishing up a first pass of a list of available resources and, next Wednesday, will be moving ahead with developing the collections and setting priorities.  I've had a look at the PDF and it looks great and I think fills in some of the gaps we've identified.  I'll add to the list and see how we can incorporate this into the collection.

Thanks again,
R

I have been looking at the training chat logs and i think, if any modifications are to be made, it can be one of the documentation collections. There are no videos for the document, and it has some information from the osm wiki, and other is from practical discovery.

Hi, Douglas:

What is the license for this work?

In case it's a CC with modification permission, do you have an editable
version to make possible a translation of it in another languages?

Congrats for this nice doc.

Cheers,

Rafael Avila Coya.

Hi Douglas
?
Thanks for this contribution.
?
Notes of the last?meeting are at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team/Working_groups/Training/Apr_24_2012_Notes and the next meeting is scheduled?on?irc://irc.oftc.net/hot, tuesday 8, at 15:00
gmt.
?
On the wiki page??http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team/Working_groups/Training?various audiences are described.? For each of these
audiences, we?should be able?to detail on the wiki page what material ?is
available (worsheets and videos), what is desirable.
?
We find an abondance of QGIS tutorials
including videos, In comparison, it seems that there is less material for
Potlatch2 and JOSM.? QGIS tutorials?are
divided by tasks, wich facilitate consultation.? Below are links to such
tutorials.
?
http://linfiniti.com/dla/?????Introducing
to GIS (11 worksheets + sample data)
http://qgis.spatialthoughts.com/ Spatialthoughts?: QGIS tutorials 17 worksheets)
http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/quantum-gis/How_do_I_do_that_in_QGIS QGIS?: How I do that in QGIS? (More than 80 tutorials including
videos)
?
Even if? HOT contributors cannot
participate to meetings, we invite them to contribute to the wiki page or
comment on this HOT list. Do you think that we should develop? similar
material for Potlatch2 and JOSM?? We also invite you to contribute to
the?inventory of what material already exist.?
?
Pierre
