Hi All,
I'm curious if tagging is still being done similar to this object in
Haiti? http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/node/1280474308
This question is inspired by Twitter:
https://twitter.com/pascal_n/status/266291568493875200
It seems to me that some of these tags can be calculated from each
other and this is redundant.
For example:
capacity_water_storage_cm = 0
capacity_water_storage_g = 0
capacity_water_storage_l = 0
Are these different ways of measuring the storage? Different types of
containers?
I would also thing tags like this:
well = 0
well_closed = 0
well_open = 0
Should instead be well=closed/open
Or something like that.
Is there a tool technical issue being gotten around by this type of
tagging? We should be fixing these things if this is the case.
We need to make sure we are following community conventions rather
than shoving humanitarian data models into OSM.
Thanks,
-Kate
