*CartONG^1 holds again this year the GeOnG, the Forum of Geographic 
Information for Relief & Development. The third GeOnG will be on 
_November 5 & 6th in Chambéry, France_ (1h20 from Geneva by train). With 
the support of our key partners ESRI France, MAIF and Chambéry city 
council, we are glad to invite you to the only event in France and one 
of the few in Europe specifically dedicated to information management 
and mapping for humanitarian action. *

There will be up to one hundred participants, from large NGO and local 
associations, international organizations, universities or corporations. 
Amongst this year's participants will be ACAPS, APDER, ESRI, GoodPlanet, 
Google France, the Humanitarian OSM Team, the ICRC, MapAction, OCHA, 
OpenStreetMap France, Rongead, the StandbyTaskForce, the UNHCR, Troyes' 
Technology University, the WFP and many more.

Around the theme "From the cloud to the field", we organize two days of 
conferences, roundtables and workshops. The themes will include cloud 
applications, data sources, environmental GIS, use of data for 
communication, emergency mapping, new aerial images technologies, mobile 
data collection tools, web mapping, etc.

Our aim is to allow attendees to present their projects, methods and 
techniques, and to assert current issues and future challenges. It is 
also an opportunity for the participants to present the new tools they

Entrance fees will be €25 if you only attend to the conferences, and €60 
if you also want to attend the hand-on workshops we organized with 
professional trainers (speakers can have reductions, more details***here
