[HOT] Global Roads Open Data Set in beta

I'm trying to do comparison with what I know in Madagascar. First, I had 
a look at the pdf file. It shows a such bunch of roads... a nice 
network. Now, I want to make a more close comparison to OSM but I have 
to download (at 40 KB/s) a chunk of 200 MB for all Africa. I'm not sure 
I will be able to open it in josm. Smaller blocks would be nice.
