[HOT] OSM user statistics

Hi,

Do you have any idea how the statistics are generated here:
http://osmstats.altogetherlost.com/index.php?item=countries

We are particularly interested in the numbers under the column *members. *It
looks like we have more people editing here in Nepal than the numbers we
see in this site.
