[HOT] The status of iD in HOT contexts/projects

Hi Kathleen,

So typically in projects done in humanitarian or development contexts
we need to collect additional attributes about features.

A very common one for example is regarding buildings. Typically we
collect as a base number of stories, construction type, wall type and
roof type. The number of stories is currently available but not the
other items.

So currently what we do is create custom preset XML files for JOSM and
use those to guide the data entry, so for example there would be a
building specific preset.

We do this with other features such as roads and water points as well.
By making the paper forms match the data entry form we are able to get
cleaner data and confuse people less.
