One thing that might help me (and perhaps others) when mapping those 
dense areas is a little on-the-ground background on how those cities are 
built. E.g the areas around

have blocks of houses several files deep. With my European background I 
have a hard time visualizing this area and deciding what is a separate 
building and what is just some roof-fixture.


Also, do you need every building separate or would outlines of complete 
block be enough?
