Here are a few more instructions to the contributors.
Note that we have not defined any Task Manager for now and simply invite the contributors to revise the area and assure that this is detailed
enough. Use Bing Imagery to map.
To better coordinate with Bing, you can use the Geochat Plugin. As usual,
we can also communicate through the #hot irc and the Mumble hotosm
server.
For reference again, the wiki coordination page is https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/2014_West_Africa_Ebola_Response
We should also assure that the daily downloads specified in the wiki page are still produce for this Activation.
To let us follow what is done, please, when you save the data to the OSM database, add to the comment
#hotosm-ebola-sl

Objet : [HOT] Reactivation request for ebola mapping in Sierra Leone

Hash: SHA1
We have received another request from the Red Cross for further
mapping on the west Africa ebola outbreak that we have already been
responding to. The new request covers roughly the same area as
before, however it is a much smaller area this time, and much of the
area has already been covered at a basic level from the earlier
activation work.
The main area of interest is the Kailahun District of Sierra Leone.
The Red Cross will have ground teams moving into this general area in
the near future and they have requested mapping support to help these
teams do their work. We do not have detailed information on where in
the district the teams will be heading but recent news reports
indicate that there have been many cases of the disease in the town of
Daru, so this and the area around it would be good places to start.
The specific request is to complete the road network for this area
(which shouldn't take long as most is already done). After the road
network is complete I think it would be worthwhile to trace buildings
in all of the small villages around this area as well. The villages
are so small that each one can be done in 10 minutes or so, so I think
they are worthwhile to cover.
Thank you in advance to anyone who contributes to this extended
effort. We did an amazing job last time we worked on this region and
that work is really paying off. For this request we are not starting
from a blank map, but can improve upon the great work already done in
the area, making our task much easier this time around.
