Hi David!
Maybe you want to consider installing the Mapillary app (
http://www.mapillary.com/) on your smartphone(s). This app takes automatic
photos every few seconds, which can then be uploaded and afterwards used by
yourself and other OSM editors to put all visible information into the map.
