Please help HOT meet its financial goals for 2015....

https://donate.hotosm.org/

Almost everyday HOT is asked to do more for the international
humanitarian community and every day we struggle to find ways to
accomplish that without specific funding for those types of activities.

Just one example we are working on today: A HOT community member
designed, planned and arraigned for EU Refugee related field work to
collect geo-data (among other relief work) in cooperation with a small
NGO. The NGO would provide on the ground logistics and support, but
could not provide any financing. HOT was not able to provide the
relatively small amount of funding required and so the community member
had to self finance that work and they are on the ground now as I write
this in a refugee camp. This is not uncommon with HOT volunteers funding
their own field work because it does not fall under one of our grant
funded projects. But this is just not sustainable.

Grants work well for specific projects, but we are doing more and more
support work for NGOs and GIS officers as well as trying to support
small scale local projects around the world. We love doing that work,
building OSM skills and knowledge and helping people benefit from open
data, but it is very difficult to do in a reliable and high quality way
without financial support.

Please, if you can give us any size gift it will be very helpful and
appreciated. And please share/tweet/facebook our donation site today and
tomorrow, that is also very very helpful to our cause.

And there is still time to help us set our priorities in 2016:

There is no sign up or personal information or anything and I promise,
it won't take more than 2 minutes. Time yourself doing it, I _guarantee_
it will NOT take more than 120 seconds!

You don't have to rank everything, just read through and mark the couple
that catch your eye.

Cheers,
Blake
