Earlier Heather sent a note about HOT being shortlisted for an Open Data
Award. I'm very happy to announce that HOT is now a finalist (one of the
top 3 in the Social Impact category). This is something to be proud of, as
HOT is one of only 15 out of 500 nominations to have this honor. This is
all thanks to the work you are doing each day.

Dear Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team,
I’m writing to
with you some good news – you have
made it through to the final three as a finalist of the *Social Impact*
*category* of the
Open Data Award <http://awards.theodi.org/>
s 2015 <http://awards.theodi.org/>
The judges found it really tough to pick their top three for each category
and also commented on how high the standard of entries was this year.
*What happens next?*
*It is very important that you, or a representative, are able to attend
the awards ceremony on 9 July at the Bloomberg offices in London*
*.* The winner of each category will be announced on the evening and our
Tim Berners-Lee and Nigel Shadbolt will announce the winners
and present them with their award trophy.
There will also be press opportunities for our finalists as
the press room at the Awards
- we have a number of journalists covering the evening, including
Bloomberg who are our awards partner. There will also be an
opportunity to have
by our photographer
should you win
. You can find an agenda for the evening *here*

> Dear Open Data Awards nominees,
> I’m writing to share with you some good news – you have been shortlisted
> for an Open Data Award <http://awards.theodi.org/>.
> We have had a fantastic response this year with 500 nominations for
> innovative and inspirational uses of open data across the world, from
> Uruguay to Brazil, Italy to Ukraine.
> Because the standard of nominations for each of our five categories was so
> high, shortlisting was a real challenge, so well done for getting to this
> What happens next?
> In the next step of our review process, our judges will assess the
> shortlists, rank their top three and send them back to us by Monday 22
> We will get in touch with the 3 finalists for each award category to
> let them know they have been selected from 22 June.
> We will then ask that all finalists ensure that they, or a
> representative, are able to attend the awards ceremony on 9 July at
> the Bloomberg offices in London.
> This is crucial, as winners will be announced on the night and someone
> will need to claim your award. Our founders, Sirs Tim Berners-Lee and
> Nigel Shadbolt will announce the winners in person on the night.
> Thank you for being a part of the Open Data Awards 2015, and good luck!
