Oops, yes a few typos there, including it should be nearly "1,000,000" edits
for Hurricane Patricia;

Good day everyone,

As you may have recently learned, most of our Disaster Mapping responses are
much more a marathon than sprint. It often takes several days to pinpoint
where the needs are greatest, but I must say that we have been very good at
setting our priority areas for mapping during these recent responses.
Everyone should be very proud of the improvements we've made to map,
allowing for more data driven decisions for coordinating response efforts.

As both the Hurricane Patricia and Easter Afghanistan Earthquake Activations
continue, please allow me to give just a quick update here as it did not
seem sufficient for a whole blog post with pictures, etc. for either
incident.

The recent situation in Afghanistan is that we are solely focused on
providing a really good road network for the (roughly) southern half of
Project #1264; in other words our near term goal is to get this task to
about 60% complete before we re-evaluate priorities. A few stats on the
project: 245 contributors have created nearly 9000 road segments

The situation in Mexico is that project #1257 is nearly 100% complete and
validated! Overall the Hurricane Patricia Activation has had (at the time of
this email) 463 contributors making nearly 100,000 edits (roughly 988K when
I looked) including creating nearly 80,000 buildings.

It's such an honor and pleasure to be part of this community!
