Hi Annie,
Welcome to HOT. Glad to know your background and interest. OpenStreetMap(OSM)
<http://www.openstreetmap.org/about>is an ongoing project to map the world
and the worldwide volunteers are always working to improve the map. OSM
gained publicity as a disaster response aid in 2010 after the Haiti
earthquake and the non profit Humanitarian OSM Team
<http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Humanitarian_OSM_Team> was formed. You
are welcome to contribute to the HOT mission via Tasking Manager
<http://tasks.hotosm.org/>. You can know more about HOT here
<https://hotosm.org/about> and learn the OSM by following the easy tutorial
given in learnsom <http://learnosm.org/en/>. Feel free to ask by hot
mail-list if you face any difficulties in this regard.

Happy mapping !!

Best regards

Ahasan
