It looks as if mere mortals can't see the metadata section.  I can see "Validator role required:Yes" but not the level for the validator.

Yep, if you go into a project page as if you intend to map; on the bottom of the description is the ‘metadata’ section; including at the very bottom “Mapper level required” and “Validator role required”.  If mapper level is required, it correlates to the Difficulty.

So its done on a project level and each project can have different requirements?  Is it possible to see what these are for a particular project?

Hi John, yes in the TM3 you can restrict validation to those who have been given the role by a project manager.  You can also restrict mapping to only those who have achieved (or been promoted) to Intermediate or Advanced mapper status.
