Hi all,
The OSM community in United Kingdom have recently set up a non-profit to
support OSM in the UK.
Why map the UK? The company is not just about improving the OSM map of the
UK (although that is one part). It has much broader aims which include
growing and up-skilling those who edit OSM from the UK (irrespective of
where they choose to map).
You can read about our aims and become a member at:
http://osmuk.org/
Note: Join by Sunday to guarantee you a voice (vote) in our first meeting.
Membership is also currently free. You do not need to be UK based, but you
do need to commit to our aims - i.e. there is no scope to expand the remit
of the company beyond the UK as that was the community we put in the
paperwork when we established as a "Community Interest Company"
(not-for-profit).
Regards,
*Rob*
