Hi everyone!

I’m Andi Tabinas, a mapper and civil servant in the Philippines. I’m also a
mental health advocate and OSM volunteer, so with the difficulty in
accessing mental healthcare here in the Philippines, I started a volunteer
project for mental health awareness.

*Mental Health AWHEREness* is a project that aims to have an *online
platform for mental health awareness* and a *crowdsourcing map* that shows
the locations and information of mental health services to make it easier
for people to look for professional help. (
https://mentalhealthawhereness.com)

Through its map, we hope that more people who are dealing with mental
health issues could find the information they need to consult for
professional help without letting other people know about their mental
health problems until they are ready to do so. This is because the stigma
on mental health tends to limit people from seeking professional help. They
are afraid to ask friends or family about these information, so making it
available through a map which shows these important information and their
locations near them would be helpful.

Through mapathons, mental health talks, and other campaigns, we also hope
that people will be encouraged to seek help and that our map could support
evidence-based decision making in showing our decision-makers where mental
health resources are unavailable or lacking so they could address these
issues.

Help our community to do this. With your donation, we can make mental
health awhereness happen! Donate here: http://bit.ly/MTDmentalhealth.

Thank you so much in advance!

Best regards,
Andi
