Hi everyone,

I'd like to share an update on the *recent wins & updates* of the Working

*Activation WG* (next meeting: 21 Oct, 12:00 UTC)
The *Mediterranean Fires Activation* concluded on September 23, you can

Thank you to all mappers and validators who contributed to the mapping
projects!


*Governance WG* (next meeting: 2 Nov, 15:00 UTC)
Governance WG had been busy preparing amendments to the organization's
Bylaws as well as the *2021 HOT Board Election*. At HOT's Annual General
Meeting on 7 Oct, the HOT Voting Membership elected 5 members to the Board
of Directors, 1 new Voting Membership Chairperson, and approved 4
amendments to the organization's Bylaws. More details here

*OSM Galaxy [Tech] WG* (next meeting: 19 Oct at 16:00 UTC & 20 Oct at 09:00
UTC)
Tech WG has been put on hold but you can still get involved with the OSM
Galaxy project  via the OSM Galaxy WG. The WG meets once a month (in 2 time
zones). If you'd like to get involved, *join here*

*Training WG * (next meeting: 25 Oct, 18:30 UTC)
Training WG hosted the *Advanced iD Training* last 3 October. If you missed

The Community WG is hosting its first ever *Community Ask Me Anything (AMA)
session* starting this week! For this week, we have invited *João Porto de
Albuquerque* and he will be talking about collaborative mapping of informal
settlements in Brazil and Colombia. If you're interested, you are welcome
