      We basically used OpenStreetMap (and it's tools OSMTracker, JOSM,
      etc) to survey and digitize the data about Managua's
      transportation network. The projects and the goal we had set us
      helped immensely to grow the OSM community in Nicaragua. And a lot
      of people participated in the two years, we're organizing mapping
      parties. Once we finished with the data collection, we now just
      extract the data from OSM and convert it into the formats we need.
      We built up a very simple website to display the bus routes:
      <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://rutas.mapanica.net">http://rutas.mapanica.net</a><br>
      Then we created a support website: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://support.mapanica.net/">http://support.mapanica.net/</a>
      And recollected donations allowing us to contract designers and
      the first round of printing the paper map.<br>
      <br>
      I'm happy to share experience (and code) with anybody interested
      in doing something similar in their town. Please don't hesitate to
