Greetings everyone,
I'm planning a building import for Lee County, Florida using data from
https://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=b2c4457aeadc44208685a1ed2dcc101a#overview
;
Esri has specifically formatted the data to be added into OpenStreetMap and
the licensing for the data reflects that. A wiki page for this proposed
project has been created at
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Lee_County_Buildings_Import .

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons by Attribution (CC BY 4.0)
license.
Also included under the license on the website is this statement:
"With respect to the Esri Community Maps dataset, Esri and the Esri
Community Maps Contributors agree to the following:

1. Attribution by OpenStreetMap and its users through
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Contributors is sufficient to provide
attribution to Esri Community Maps Contributors in a "reasonable manner" in
accordance with Section 3(a)(1) of the CC BY 4.0 license.

2. Esri waives Section 2(a)(5)(B) of the CC BY 4.0 license as to
OpenStreetMap and its users with the understanding that the Open Database
License 1.0 requires open access or parallel distribution of OpenStreetMap
data."

The approach to the project will be similar to most building imports where
JOSM is used to validate data layer before copy pasting sections into the
main OSM data layer with a 2nd validation before upload.

Any comments/suggestions to help refine the workflow and other portions of
the wiki page are appreciated.

Thanks,
