[Imports] National Park Boundaries in Hawaii

I think there may be a problem with the National Park boundaries for the
Hawaii Volcanoes National Park on Big Island and Haleakala National Park on
Maui. Based on my personal observations at both parks, it looks like the
imported boundaries are incorrect. As nearly as I can tell, they seem to be
offset, possibly due to a different datum that the NAD83 datum used by OSM.
However, it is difficult to ascertain if there are other inaccuracies as
well.
Another oddity is that both national parks have been imported as a set of
adjacent boundaries, rather than one unified boundary. I appreciate that
these boundaries may preserve some distinction from the original data
source, but from the point of view of most map users, these National Parks
are cohesive, unified wholes, and the park boundaries should probably
reflect that. Perhaps if the distinctions between these sub-regions of the
parks need to be preserved, they can be mapped with something other than
boundary=national_park.
Finally, the source field references http://www.nationalatlas.gov/, but all
the import mapped data fields are prefixed with "massgis:", which seems
quite odd, since this data should have nothing to do with MassGIS.
It looks like these boundaries were imported by user "John Serafin" in April
2009. I tried contacting this user via the OSM messaging system, but I got
no response. I looked at the Import Catalogue on the OSM wiki, and I
couldn't find anything obvious that corresponds to these imports.
Does anyone have any idea what the best way to get these boundaries fixed
up? Should they be deleted and reimported?
