So in IRC for dummies. :-)

Is the website that people go to in order to participate in the 'live
discussion'.

And yes, there is other ways of accessing this site (GUI), but the most
common way is via that link, and enter in your osm username, and let the
page run in the background, and look at it everyonce in a while.
.... because there are so many people on it.  Questions will get answered
quickly, usually with a refering website togo to.

And there is other 'sub-discussions' for regional groups, (which would be in
other languages) just select the item in the drop down list.

Thanks for all the help everyone :)   Sometimes its hard to explain the most
simplest of tasks :-) ... ie. try explaining OSM to someone who has never
seen a computer nor knows what a map is. :-)
