[Imports] Bulk Import of Hotels

The format required for imports is OSM's own format. Obviously, there are a 
bunch of conversion tools available (look in the OSM Subversion server, under 
utils/import/).

If your data is in some generic GIS format (shapefile, GML, KML, TIGER), there 
are utilities able to handle that data in a semi-automatic fashion. 
Spreadsheets shouldn't be too difficult to work with, if the data is 
consistent. If your data is in a "weirder" format, conversion will take a bit 
longer, depending on how good are your programming skills and how many bored 
OSM developers want to step up for the task :-)

I suggest you ask what format the data is in, tell us here, and maybe publish 
a short excerpt. That way we'll be able to tell you how easy or hard it will 
be to import that data.
