[Imports] [nzopengis] LINZ import Status

I thought so.
& because it gets turned into an .osm file, it can be converted to a
.shp file. (using ...?)

The .osm file can then be split using 'tile splitter'.
 & shp files converted to a 'mapserver tile', which becomes available
as a WMS layer.
As the information can then be used in conjuction with the .osm files.

This ensures that;
1 - the community data is protected from 'bulk_implopping'
2 - that users are free to trace (when in busy areas) and 'drop-in'
for those areas with no .osm activity.
& slide features to line up, where needed. & use the raw gpx tracks also.

& using OpenJUMP with autoMatch helps by comparing existing data with
available data (both needs to be in SHP format to work) so the DIFF
files can be made & used.

Hopefully others can expand and clarify the above explainations :-)

thanks,
Sam
