Hello everybody,
we are a group of volunteers on the Eurosha project in Central African
Republic. Cooperating with HOT, we spent 3 months in CAR. Because of the
rebels, we cant come back there, but we will continue our mission on
distance (with our 2 Centralafrican coleagues in the field) in the next 3
months.
During our deployment we worked with different partners and we have
gathered many data which could be imported into OSM. Just a brief
description of the data:
- UNICEF - *schools, medical facilities and water points* for half the
country now, awaiting the rest
- WB - medical facilities for about half the country, to be compared
with UNICEF data
- OCHA (COD=Common Operational Dataset) - all *cities, towns and
villages; roads*
- World Resource Institute, Ministry of Water and Forests - *roads,
rivers*
We are at the beginning of our planning/preparation process for the
imports. We are familiar with the import guidelines and workflow. However,
as we have never done this before, we would like to ask some questions
before starting and will be happy for more suggestions and possible
cooperation.
Is it appropriate for us to do this work or should we ask an experienced
importer to do it? Would anybody be so kind and willing to support us with
it?
This is just a short description. For more info about our work dont
hesitate to ask or see some of these links:
