I fail to see how the points raised on here are relevant or appropriate to ensuring a good import of DC buildings. Just looks like a tired tilting at windmills guys.

DC/OCTO have the excellent interest to share their data with OpenStreetMap. Many here in the DC community, myself included, have discussed and worked with them on making this a solid import.

The broader OSM community should be applauding the effort, and do what they can to help improve the work of mapping. That's all anyone working on an import should expect to receive. Beyond that, no one has authority to impose their view of things. Let's do better please.
