Thanks for this clear and well-documented writeup. There's an simple 
corollary here for businesses and other organizations: If you want to be 
able to import your list of [charging stations/stores/atms/whatever] 
into OSM, do not include Google in your workflow when compiling or 
maintaining the list. Keep a clean chain of custody for your data! J
