I have not looked at the data that is planned to be imported here so i 
did not yet form an opinion on the specific import plan.  And i don't 
think it is a good idea to have a general mapping and tagging 
discussion on if and how certain things can be mapped in OSM on the 
imports list.  

Generally speaking importing features of a type and with a tagging the 
verifiability of which is disputed in the OSM community (see 
https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Tag:natural%3Dmountain_range) is 
not a good idea IMO.

If you want to start a general discussion on the limits of what can be 
mapped in OSM you can do so on talk or tagging but you should make sure 
to read up on previous discussion on the topic before (like most 
recently in 
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2020-December/thread.html#57126 
and 
https://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/tagging/2020-December/thread.html#57441) 
to not just reiterate previous conversations.
