I would certainly support this. It also counters the mis-spellings which
many British people unconsciously perpetrate as they accommodate to
American and international language, me included on occasions :-)

Not that there may not be merit in adopting a international version of
English globally, but if so it needs to be done explicitly rather than
by degradation and ignorance.
