the current set was contributed by David Groom on 2007-10-18 (thanks a bunch 
BTW). I never checked what's actually used by mappers, but I do not 
understand why one should prefer
denomination=christian/baptist
or even
denomination=christian:baptist
over
denomination=baptist

IMO this only made sense if there was something like
denomination=buddhist/baptist
denomination=christian/baptist
denomination=hindu/baptist
