[josm-dev] Tagging Presets - propagation with existing tags

Well, *was* it a good idea or not ;-)? What were the reasons against?

Especially, what did the patch do about tags that didn't match the  
chosen preset, e.g. if something tagged waterway=river was now marked  
a motorway through the use of a preset - did it then delete the  
waterway tag properly?

If you still have it in your out folder somewhere - care to re-submit  
to me or josm-dev?
