Great! I've been waiting for an updated version of this specifically
to get back the way simplification support. Things seem to have moved
around a bit, so I want to be sure I'm looking in the right place. Way
simplification now seems to be attached to the toolbar button whose
tooltip reads "Delete unnecessary nodes from way". Unfortunately, for
me it doesn't have any effect on selected ways where you would imagine
it would make some changes.

Are there any new requirements to make this work as before?

(I already have simplify-way.max-error=0.0005 as required by the old version...)
