Hi,
I have just committed David Earl's copy+paste patch. Please don't
duplicate London! (Or get a memory upgrade before you do.)
My plans for the short-term JOSM future (next week or so) are:
* make line endings the same on all source files - this will lead to
a major SVN commit with 90% of all files changed but no change in
functionality.
* add "delete key" and change "delete mode" (delete key - always
deletes selected but doesn't change mode; delete mode - does not
delete selected but changes into what-you-click-will-be-deleted
mode)
* somehow further improve the "move happy JOSM" problem
* change add-node mode to select the clicked node if nothing is
currently selected
* allow gpx upload from within JOSM
* make selection changes undoable
* find a way to select the whole way, not only the last node, after
doing some add-node-and-connect work, so that the way tags can be
added quickly.
And for the slightly longer-term future (the week after):
* make modifier keys configurable
* incorporate MapPaint into the core and provide a way to switch it
on and off without quitting
* improve painting speed by caching bounding boxes for objects
(will use more memory -> maybe optional?)
* provide visual clue "what will happen when I click"
And thereafter:
* find some good way to make work with all those dialogs more
convenient... they eat up too much space.
If you have any comments about this, or if you want to code some of
this, just shout.
Bye
Frederik
