[josm-dev] Patches for tickets #1772 and #1788

Hello,

I'm not familiar with the approach to take to get attention to bugs.
Since Markus asked for ticket 1730 here I try it this way too.

I'm interested in having the bug from ticket #1772 fixed. A simple
patch is available from anonymous.
Also I'd like to see the enhancement from #1788 and have provided a
patch myself which I hope is reasonable.

So maybe someone with more knowledge can have a look at these.
