[josm-dev] Author assigned to road not edited by me. Bug or newbie mistake?

Hi,

using JOSM (version of February 5th, 2008) I somehow managed to be 
listed as the author of a road ("Aspangerstrasse), that I did NOT draw.
The authors window of JOSM erroneously states, that I did 100% of this road.

Here's what I did:
- Added one point to the road "Aspangerstrasse" while creating a new 
road "Wehrgasse".
- Added 6 more roads, that fork from or cross that road.

I would like to emphasize, that I did NOT mean to 'steal' this road from 
the original author. The nodes of Aspangerstrasse are still marked 
author=wapi001. So, I am pretty sure that he/she drew this road.

IMHO the authors window should say:
    wapi001 99%
    Franz A  1%

My questions:
- How can I give the road back to the real author?
- What should I avoid in the future?
   Was this a newbie mistake or did I find a bug?
   (No such bug found in Trac.)
