If you want to double-check my modification - it seemed to me that
there was obviously a bug with the temporary backup file. The block
that was supposed to copy the backup file onto the saved file was
executed always, insted of only on save failure. However if you had
not set the config option "save.keepbackup" (which I presume you have
not, and those exeriencing the problem had) then the temp file was
deleted before it could do any harm.
