That's great for you, but of course it's not all that helpful to people
who can't easily rebuild Firefox :-)

Once a running copy of Firefox knows what to do, loading the page,
snapshotting the images and writing them to disk is easy. The trick is
setting up a communications channel between the josm process and the
Firefox process. It's that bit I don't know how to do.

There are patches for an IPC implementation for Gecko:

That might be helpful, I don't know.

But can someone remind me why curl or wget or lynx are not good
solutions here? Yahoo want us to use their site as if we were a web
browser, right? lynx is certainly a web browser.
