No, JOSM displays most POI icons usually months before any of the 
renderers ;-)

Anyway, another step in the right direction :-)



BTW: At the Essen Workshop we were talking about how to build an easier 
to use turn restriction editor. While thinking about this topic, I got 
to the point that it might first of all be even more interesting to 
display turn restrictions at all - somehow on the map. Turn restrictions 
are important for car/truck/motorcycle/... navigation and displaying 
them somehow will probably make them much more popular for our mappers.

Would you be interested in having a look at how to display them? My idea 
would be to display the corresponding street signs somehow, but I'm not 
100% sure how to do it. You can find the corresponding street signs at 
http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Relation:restriction and I could 
easily add them to the icon collection in SVG and other icon formats if 
that is of any help ...
