To a certain degree yes.

There is already one report for this issue which means this is a real
problem.

About 4700 webstart accesses in last 3 weeks.

Good question.
Current stats (about 3 weeks):
5 ( 1137, 4%)
6 (23625, 95%)
7 ( 57, 0%)
Java 5 is not really an issue anymore. Probably we should consider
switching to version 5.
