I should perhaps have been a little clearer. Of course I expect that if
editing isn't anonymous, you need an account; and that to get such an
account, you will have to contact someone and ask to be given access.
Now even if we handed out accounts to more or less anyone even if
they've never so much as raised their head before, then we can at least
block that particular account after some kind of abuse; plus, at any
time we know exactly which accounts could theoretically edit something.
So someone with the intent of wreaking havoc would first have to email
us and ask for an account, and then - likely after a short delay since
the request is not processed automatically - they could proceed with
whatever malicious edits they planned.
You don't *really* want to say that this does *not* present an extra
barrier to someone playing games?
