[josm-dev] Conflicts because of timeouts from a proxy

Hi!

I experience a lot of conflicts when editing some roads with a lot of
relations attached to it, e.g.
http://www.openstreetmap.org/browse/way/206661764 .
When uploading the data it usually takes quite some time and then a
conflict is reported, because the server has version (x+1) of a
relation while local it is (x). In the relation history (on
www.openstreetmap.org) it says that I am the one who created version
(x+1) of that relation right at this moment.
Usually when I now quit JOSM without any conflict resolution and
restart it my edits are there. So the server got the data and accepted
it. I only have to close the changeset.

What I now noticed is that right before the conflict appears JOSM
always (I think!) says something like "New try in x seconds". What I
suspect here is a timeout from the proxy I have to use at this place
here. JOSM then tries to resend the data but the server already
accepted it and therefore the resending creates a conflict.

I have no possibility to test this assumption - at least I'm not aware
of one. Can anyone else test this? Please let me know if I can help in
any way.

regards,
Martin
