[josm-dev] JOSM graphics contest

Hello,

the submission phase for the graphics contents is over. The results can be 
seen at https://josm.openstreetmap.de/wiki/LogoContest page. Whoever wants 
can send feedback to contest at josm.openstreetmap.de.

Send mail in whatever form you want, first feedback we got told favourites 
and gave some description why (as always: don't get tooooo long or nobody 
will read it :-)

There will be no public vote, but we always value the opinion of others 
and especially our users.

We expect that next release end of month will already use the new logo.

I already told the submitters by e-mail, but also want to say it here. 
Many thanks to all of you. We did not expect such a large number of 
submissions and are happy about all your work for the software.

Not to forget: We always need icons for presets, features in the map, 
icons for program functions, display icons for plugins/styles/presets, 
.... Especially due to the coming upgrade to higher resolution screens 
probably we will also loose many of the old icons. So any help is welcome 
and when possible SVG as vector format is preferred. And no competition 
there. Usually we're happy when we get something for yet unsupported 
parts.
