[josm-dev] GeoJSON can be written but not read?

I asked for the josm developpers of the opendata module to revise but they do not agree on adding this feature.

Hi,

It seems in JOSM you can save a vector file (eg .osm) in the GeoJSON
format, but you cannot open a GeoJSON file, what seems to be not very
logical. Am I wrong?
