Issues while creating development environment

I was able to successfully setup when I used the GitHub repo i.e git clone git://github.com/openstreetmap/josm.git

But still facing problem in doing it the other way.

Can I be guided on what am I doing wrong?

Also since I want to work on the plugin I couldn’t find any proper instruction on how to go forward with it. I am using IntelliJ. Can I know where to find the proper instructions that would be helpful for me to setup the environment and later in editing the code?
