JOSM is currently on the GSoC Ideas list.

Do we have Mentors this year?

Do we have any Core project ideas and Mentors that want to mentor Core 
projects?

I will only be doing backup mentor, since I will already be doing a lot 
of non-GSoC mentoring this summer.

Hi all,

the application period for Google Summer of Code 2021 is about to
start and once more we'd like to participate as OSM orga.
For open source projects from the OSM ecosystem, GSoC is a good
opportunity to attract some student developers who will	spend
the summer contributing essentially full-time (and may stick
around afterwards).

As in previous years, project ideas are collected on the OSM wiki, so
start adding them! Students aren't restricted to the project ideas
suggested there, but most still end up picking something from that list.

Please note that Google has shortended the program to 2.5 months
this year, so projects have to be a bit smaller then in last years.
