The basic problem with the offset for basically all satellite image
providers, at least in Italy, is that it can vary from one image tile to
the next. If you look careful you may spot places where single photos are
spliced together badly.
In addition many of them are also affected by parallax errors that cannot
be handled with simple offsets.
You may also encounter that the same original satellite images are offered
by diffrent image providers with different offset and different parallax
errors. I spotted one such situation close to home. Have a look at this

of a spot in the Brenta valley in Northern Italy. The Esri and Mapbox
images use the same original photos, but differ in offset, and, in
addition, the Esri image is affected by massive geometry distortion (I
presume due to a bad DEM)
